Silas Koulack
Lawyer
Silas is an associate who practices in general civil litigation. He received his J.D. from the University of Manitoba in 2021 and was called to the Bar in 2022. Prior to attending law school, Silas obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg with a major in Conflict Resolution.

Professional Activities
Prior to joining Gange Collins & Associates, Silas worked for Natural Justice, South Africa, as a Visiting Lawyer. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and sits on the Manitoba Labour and Employment Section Executive as a Member at Large. Silas has a broad range of experience, including work in human rights, environmental law, international law, civil litigation, family law, criminal defense, and employment and labour law. He has written, published, and contributed to papers on a number of topics including international law, policing, and legal education.
Community Activities
Silas has been involved in community organizations working for such varied goals as environmental justice, police reform, food security, refugee support, and restorative justice. During his time at law school, Silas volunteered for the University Law Center providing free criminal defense work to those who couldn’t afford it; completed an internship at the Legal Help Centre giving free summary advice to low-income people; was involved with the students association as the union representative and council chair; and sat on the executives of numerous clubs and groups. He has also worked with the Public Interest Law Centre on consumer protection matters, disability rights, police reform, and environmental
protection.
